SECURIFY'S AUTOMATED CONTEXT TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS FOR HARDENING OF INTERNAL NETWORK
SecurVantage 5.0 Delivers Increased Security at Lower Cost

CUPERTINO, Calif., February 15, 2005 - Securify, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise solutions for hardening the internal network, announced today the availability of the newest version of SecurVantage, a breakthrough product that allows companies and organizations to secure networks beyond the perimeter. SecurVantage 5.0 features deep packet inspection, and improved integration for enhanced report building and alerts, all of which provide the most powerful way to enable hardening a network to its core.

"Companies have done a relatively good job hardening their network perimeters, but their internal networks are soft, and therefore vulnerable," said Buck French, chairman and CEO of Securify. "There is just too much change in the network and too many threats for companies to handle, unless they have a technology that can automate the process of understanding what the change or threat means in context to their business."

Most companies have teams of people manually analyzing threats and network changes to determine work priorities. Securify's technology automates the process of accurately identifying and prioritizing threats and network changes, saving money through less manual work, and improving security through real-time, actionable results.

"We have firewalls in place to secure the perimeter of our network, but wanted to make sure our internal network remains secure as well," said Chris Van Waters, CTO of QuadraMed, creator of software for the healthcare industry. "The Securify model allowed us to define the intended use of our network and monitor against that intent, and the new features in SecurVantage 5.0 provide us with further means to harden our network."

SecurVantage 5.0 Meets IT Security Needs in Today's World

Securify's SecurVantage 5.0 starts with a unique ability to define the intention of the network and adds greater levels of depth and specificity to yield the most precise and actionable network intelligence available today.

SecurVantage 5.0 offers compelling new features including:

  • Deep packet inspection that goes beyond basic network inspection and provides for inspection up through layer 7.
  • Enhanced real-time dashboard provides IT executives with real-time reporting for security violations, policy compliance, and bandwidth misuse.
  • A new embedded Crystal Reports engine capability improves reporting abilities and provides for improved integration with existing alert management systems.
