SECURIFY AND PATRIOT TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
Volume Pricing Available to Defense and Intelligence Agencies for Securify Network Security Appliances Through Patriot Technologies
CUPERTINO, Calif., February 7, 2006 - Securify®, Inc. and Patriot Technologies today announced an enterprise software licensing agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense. Estimated requirements of $34 million are projected over the five-year duration of the arrangement. Together, Securify and Patriot Technologies deliver hardened appliances and services that enable organizations to validate and enforce network usage.
The DoD's Enterprise Software Initiative, (ESI) allows pre-negotiated, volume pricing for all DoD component agencies, including the Coast Guard and the Intelligence community. Securify's policy-driven appliances for network security are designed to validate and enforce intended usage of networks and applications, to protect against all risks and save costs of network and security operations. Securify integrates application layer 7 traffic analysis with signatures and vulnerability scanning in order to discover network behavior, provide highly accurate, real-time threat mitigation for both known and unknown threats, and offer true compliance tracking.
With a decade of experience, Patriot Technologies offers integrated IT security solutions to commercial and government clients worldwide. Patriot and Securify have worked together for the last three years to successfully sell and deliver the solutions currently used by some of the most sensitive networks in the world.
"Organizations have generally done a good job in hardening their external networks, and are now focusing on the task of securing inside the network," said Bruce Tucker of Patriot Technologies. "Securify was one of the first companies to identify and deliver solutions to meet the criteria to provide true 'defense in depth' capabilities. They deliver easy to use, yet potent policy-based solutions. We look forward to providing these capabilities to ensure that the Department of Defense improves their security posture while also significantly reducing the effort and workload to secure their networks."
"With this latest agreement, Patriot and Securify are expanding their commitment to serve the needs of the Department of Defense," said Jeff Waters, Securify VP of Federal Sales. "Patriot Technologies delivers over a decade of exclusive Federal and security expertise and together, we will deliver best-in-class solutions that meet the security, operational and budget requirements of the Federal Government."
