SECURIFY CUSTOMER MARK GOODGE NAMED 'TOP CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER' BY INFOWORLD
CUPERTINO, Calif., September 19, 2006 - Securify®, Inc. today announced that its customer, Mark Goodge, CTO of the National Naval Medical Center, has been named as a "Top CTO" by IDG's InfoWorld as part of the 2006 CTO Awards. Goodge was selected from hundreds of entries as one of the primary leaders in IT management, security and innovation.
"Having spent 10 years as a Navy corpsman before advancing to his current role, Goodge knows a lot about team-building," wrote InfoWorld Senior Editor Neil McAllister. "He has worked hard to empower his staff to make the best use of their skills, resources, and initiative. That's something just about any IT manager can admire."
Mark Goodge became CTO of the National Naval Medical Center in 2004 and has developed a reputation for making smart decisions with significant results. Since his decision to deploy Securify's network security solution, he has seen a dramatic drop in successful network attacks, and his staff is managing 3,500 desktops more effectively and efficiently.
"Mark is a born leader and a model CTO," said Securify CEO Buck French. "He has the vision and expertise to know what's going to improve operations for his staff and business for his company. We couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments."
Each year, InfoWorld honors IT executives who have shown leadership both inside and outside their companies. Nominations are reviewed and winners selected by the InfoWorld executive editorial team. For more information about InfoWorld's awards programs, visit http://www.infoworld.com/awards.
