MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September 17, 2002 - Securify, Inc., a pioneer and leader in network security policy solutions, today introduced a new capability of its flagship SecurVantage™ solution that simplifies and speeds deployment of the product in new installations. Securify's AutoPolicy, a new capability of the SecurVantage Studio policy development and analysis component, makes it easier to start using SecurVantage by eliminating the cumbersome and time-consuming task of capturing and understanding all the interactions currently taking place on the network.

Using actual network traffic, SecurVantage Studio automatically discovers the network topology -- all the routers, switches, firewalls, computers, DNS names and subnets -- and groups them according to the services they provide. It provides a graphical diagram of the network (subnet view), a table of hosts and the ports and services they are communicating on (policy view) and the HTML policy definition document specifying the information architecture. This initial "as-built" picture of the existing security policy can then be used as the basis for creating the desired security policy within SecurVantage.
